William Newzam Prior Nicholson, the youngest son of William Newzam Nicholson and Annie Elizabeth Prior, was born at 12 London Road, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire on 5 February 1872. Today, 5 February 2022, would have been his 150th birthday. To mark this, we show here his design for page 7 of his much-loved The Pirate Twins, published by Faber & Faber in 1929.
